Yesterday, a perfect golfing day greeted Jenahura clients and their invited guests for the opening round of the Road to Costa Navarino. The Jenahura Masters teed off at the spectacular private golf club – Bearwood Lakes, surely one of the finest venues to play golf in the UK.
The highlight for many was the opportunity to “Beat the Pro” – Jenahura ambassador; Jamie Elson at the daunting par three 14th hole played over Bearwood Estate’s lower lake. Anyone hitting their tee-shot inside Jamie’s on the green collected a bottle of Goutorbe-Bouillot champagne. In the end just five players walked away with the bubbles to the relief on Jenahura’s onlooking head of liquid refreshments!
Alec Vallintine from Canary Wharf went away with the top prize – a magnum of Costa Navarino wine and a pair of bespoke, hand made shoes courtesy of the Left Shoe Co. Alec’s 38 stableford points puts him at the top of the Road to Costa Navarino Order of Merit (see PDF above). Second place went to United Asphalt’s Mike Cowley followed by his guest – David Bryett who scored 37 and 35 stableford points respectively. The team event was won by ICE Europe captained by Sam Johnson-Hill.
Next, we head to the spectacular County Clare coastline for the Jenahura Links Challenge for a feast of coastal treasures at Trump International Links, Ireland (the golf course formerly known as Doonbeg!) and the Old Course at Lahinch…. We can’t wait!
