One of the driest summer’s on record and 6 weeks without rain before The Open, presented the Royal Liverpool course in a tournament condition never seen by the top professionals.
This was a totally unique experience for everyone who played in our Open four days later. The 18th green was a scene of head scratching and beaming smiles!
With incredibly tricky conditions, the winner was Scratch golfer – Jamie Plews from Cat. 1 Event Management who collected a superb total of 40 stableford points. His team of single figure handicap players also took the honours, winning the team competition.
