The weather Gods once again ruined the Madeira Islands Open – BPI.  So much so that the tournament had to be abandoned on Sunday 22nd March when the mountain top golf course at Santo da Serra was all but washed away!  Harry Casey was in typically positive mood however as he made his debut on the European Tour.

The opening round was postponed on Thursday due to high winds and when play did eventually get underway the weather wasn’t a great deal better.  In brutal conditions Harry posted a respectable round of 76 (+4) in the worst of the weather.  Thankfully for Harry he will get a second chance to play in the tournament that has been rescheduled for  30th July to 2nd August at Clube de Golf do Santo da Serra.
