It was a roller coaster week for Jamie Elson playing in The Break90 Championship event on the EuroPro Tour.  Jamie opened with a 69 (-3) to lye just three shots off the early pace.  Then on day two the fireworks began…  A double bogey six on the 2nd hole had Jamie on the back foot and in danger of missing the cut but fighting hard, Jamie carded four birdies from the 4th-9th to be out in 34 (-5 in total).  A par-5 on  the 10th was then followed by a hole-in-one on the 11th!   Another birdie followed on 12 and an eagle three on 16 had Jamie at the top of the leaderboard.  Disappointingly, Jamie double-bogeyed the difficult 18th to card 67 (-8 in total) but nonetheless was in confident mood and ideally placed going into the final round.

Sadly, the weather gods denied Jamie a shot at victory with the final day being washed out leaving him frustrated but encouraged with his improving form.  Quote of the week from Jamie when asked about his hole in one?  “I haven’t had one for ages”, to which I replied “How many have you had?”  “Six I think…”  Quite!

Well done Jamie and hope the good form continues for the remainder of the season.
